New Books

April 5, 2010

I got out of work later then I thought I would and was rushing home to eat dinner and head out again.  Rushing up my front steps, a package caught my eye: my new books had arrived!  The first is Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel, which is a historical novel about Henry VIII and his court, centering on his adviser Thomas Cromwell.  I really liked The Other Boleyn Girl, so I thought it might be interesting as well.  The second is The Season of Second Chances by Diane Meier, which focuses on Joy Harkness who leaves her “safe” life in New York to take a position at Amherst College.  I’m hoping this one isn’t fluffy, but we’ll soon find out 🙂

I’m pretty excited to read these so you’ll be hearing about them again soon.

Looks like a good night 🙂

I will anxiously await your thoughts on Wolf Hall. I rarely put books down, and I had to put this one down because, well, I’m just not that good at reading genealogical charts … 🙂

Oh no! I don’t particularly care to read genealogical charts either. I’ll keep you posted…
