Yellow Umbrella Books

September 14, 2010

Over the Labor Day weekend a group of friends and I rented a house on the Cape.  We ate, drank and took a trip to Chatham to check out the town.  I stumbled upon Yellow Umbrella Books and had to leave the group for a bit to properly peruse the selections.

Yellow Umbrella has both new and used books, which I really like.  Apparently Yellow Umbrella Books is a well known bookstore on the Cape.  The selection focuses on poetry, modern and classic literature, current fiction, regional and children’s books, but they also have sections for nautical (random!), art, cooking, and gardening, as well as some rare and out of print books.

I looked for some of the books on my brother’s Japanese Literature syllabus since I’ll be reading along with him this semester but finally decided to pick up another Murakami, since I’m trying to collect all his works.
